5000 Point AT-43 Game
So I had planed a large scale 3 on 3 game of AT-43 using all 6 armies with 5000 point armies. Only one player showed up besides myself, my older Brother, Ryan. I had laid out 4 or the 6 armies on the table before I realized only one was showing up. Here is what they looked like:
Ryan chose Red Blok and I fielded the UNA. It was a fun game with a lot of exploding AFV’s and infantry casualties. The UNA list I was running is:
3 Fire Toads with Captain Newton (4 Fire Toads)
14 Star Troopers, Lieutenant, 2 Missile Launchers, 2 Medics
12 Star Troopers, Lieutenant, 2 Flamers, 2 Medics
11 Steel Troopers, Lieutenant, 2 Missile Launchers, Trip Lense
7 Wing Troopers, Sergeant, 1 Sniper, 1 Medic
3 Death Dealer TacArms with Lt. Epstone
3 Steel TacArms
1 Fire Toad with Sgt. Borz (2 Fire Toads)
Fire Crawler, Lieutenant
Fire Crawler
Total 4975
The Red Blok list was as follows:
Urod
12 Krasnye Soldaty, Sgt., 3 Rockets, Medic, Mechanic
12 RPT Soldaty, Sgt., 3 Rockets, 2 Medics
12 Krasnye Soldaty, 3 Grenade Launchers, 2 Medics
9 Dragonov Kommandos, Sgt., 3 AT Gauss Guns, Medic, Electronic Warfare
6 Dragonov Kommandos, Sgt., 1 Sniper, Medic, Electronic Warfare
3 RPG Kolossus
3 Dragonov Sniper Squad
KK5
Hussar
Dotch Yaga
Dotch Yaga
Total 5015 (thought they could go over a bit and need it)
I used my GW Battle Realm board with some GW40k Buildings on it, along with an AT-43 bunker and some AT-43 walls scattered about. I also had the GW Battlescape set up as a control point. The game went back and forth a lot with the UNA pounding the Red Blok pretty heavily. In the first round the Fire Crawlers and the unit of 4 Fire Toads burned down one Dotch Yaga. Ryan spend most of the time scrambling his men around realizing the Red Blok accuracy issues. In the end it came down to the final moments. He had to control the objective with only 4 men in contact. I had 5, but moved my TacArms in to control range. If he would have held onto the objective for the final round, he would have won the game. In the end, I ended up with it by about 2 figures. I still had a Fire Crawler and 5 of 6 Fire Toads left, but my infantry was pretty well smoked by some well placed Mortar fire and some grenade weapons fire. It was a fun game, playing with so many figures on the field. It was finally a chance to break out my game table and have a game. Thanks Ryan for showing up! I hope this defeat doesn’t put you off more games in the future!
