A Tale of Two Predators

Posted by admin on Friday, June 25th, 2010

I painted up two Predator tanks.  The first one I built was a basic cannon with the bolter guns. The second, I decided to go all out with the twin linked Lascannons and the side Lascannons.  They turned out pretty good in my opinion.  I took my time on both of these instead of my [...]

New AT-43 Comic

Posted by admin on Thursday, May 13th, 2010

I haven’t made one in months.  I seem to have lost my Muse for drawing all together lately.  I hope I can find my spark again and get back to it.  Come to think of it, I think I owe Privateer Press some more comics as well.  I should get on that! www.at43comic.com

Sabol Army Transport

Assault Marine Speed Paint

Posted by admin on Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

I started again painting my SM figures and was feeling a bit overwhelmed at the painting I still needed to do.  After a quick, yet through primer job, I set all 10 Assault Marines in front of me for a quick and dirty speed painting session.

I stuck with my method for assembly line painting choosing one color and hitting every model before moving on to the next color.  I found that doing large, quick over brushing on most of the color was pretty good and pretty quick.  The detail work slowed me down quite a bit.  Especially when it came to the gray color on the chest straps.  I know I didn’t need them because they don’t have the jump packs, but it’s a way for me to quickly tell they are the Assault squad.

They turned out pretty good in my opinion.  Again, I’m not going for any prize winning here in my paint jobs.  Just for table top quality.  I plan on playing with these guys quite a bit. All said these 10 Assault Marines took 2 hours almost exactly to paint.  Here are some pictures of how they turned out.
