A Tale of Two Predators

Posted by admin on Friday, June 25th, 2010

I painted up two Predator tanks.  The first one I built was a basic cannon with the bolter guns. The second, I decided to go all out with the twin linked Lascannons and the side Lascannons.  They turned out pretty good in my opinion.  I took my time on both of these instead of my [...]

New AT-43 Comic

Posted by admin on Thursday, May 13th, 2010

I haven’t made one in months.  I seem to have lost my Muse for drawing all together lately.  I hope I can find my spark again and get back to it.  Come to think of it, I think I owe Privateer Press some more comics as well.  I should get on that! www.at43comic.com

Sabol Army Transport

Posted by admin on Thursday, April 29th, 2010

I picked up a couple of Sabol basic troop bags.  I am VERY impressed with the quality of this product. The price for this bag was around 60 bucks and came loaded with foam.  This foam is a very ridged high quality pluck and pull foam.  You can hold a tray in one hand and [...]

Space Hulk

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

I’ve been collecting board games lately to add to my At Home Gaming.  I broke out the Space Hulk box a few days ago and cracked it open.  For those unfamiliar with the game is a remake from their Games Workshop’s 1980′s title.  I never played the old version, but the new version is fantastic.  [...]

Space Marines 1500 Point list

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

Here is my progress as of today.  I just got done painting up 3 Rhinos and my last Scout.  All that I am missing right now is my Librarian.  I can’t seem to find one anywhere.  I have a Librarian in Terminator armor, but I don’t really want to proxy anything, so there you go.  [...]

Assault Marine Speed Paint

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

I started again painting my SM figures and was feeling a bit overwhelmed at the painting I still needed to do.  After a quick, yet through primer job, I set all 10 Assault Marines in front of me for a quick and dirty speed painting session. I stuck with my method for assembly line painting [...]

Space Marine Progress

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

So it’s been a few days since I’ve managed to have some time to paint and build my Space Marine figures.  Here are some shots at what I have so far. I still have quite a bit more to build, but for now, that’s my Space Marine collection.  Shorty after I took this picture, I [...]

Building a Force

Friday, January 8th, 2010

I have begun putting together my Space Marines from the list I came up with.  It’s an interesting process.  I am enjoying the customization of the models to match what I came up with on my list.  But it does lead to an interesting question.  In the Mega Force box there are 20 Tactical Marines.  [...]

Space Marines List Update

Sunday, January 3rd, 2010

Thanks to those who have contacted me regarding my list.  You all have given some very good advice and I have made some changes. HQ – Chapter Master (Artificer Armor, Melta Bombs, Power Fist) Honor Guard +2 (Chapter Banner) Rhino Troop 1 – Scouts (+5 Models, All Sniper, Camo Cloaks, Sgt. Melta Bombs) Troop2 – [...]

Opinions Needed: Space Marines List

Saturday, December 26th, 2009

I am trying to come up with a 1500 point Space Marines list.  Here is what I have come up with from the Codex.  As I have yet to play a real game and am unfamiliar with most of the weapons and how good they are, I admit I have probably made a few rookie [...]

Speed Painting: Terminators

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

I finished my Black Reach squad of Terminators last night.  It was a fast and sloppy assembly line once again banging out the whole squad in the little time I had.  I completed the 4 Terminators and the 1 Terminator leader in 90 minutes.  Again, these aren’t perfect paint jobs, but I think it will [...]

Speed Painting

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

After watching the Beasts of War’s video on painting a Space Wolf Terminator I picked up some tips on how to achieve some very nice results relatively simply.  I had 7 more Space Marines to paint last night and after I set up my paint station I went in a picked up 2 more to [...]

Started Painting the Space Marines

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009

I started painting the Space Marines from the Black Reach box set.  Here is what I’ve done so far.  They won’t win me any awards, but they turned out alright in my opinion.  The Dreadnought was about an hour, the Captain about 2 hours and the the Marines about 30 minutes each.
